Role: VOLUNTEER RECEPTIONIST

Purpose of role:
To undertake reception duties when the receptionist is absent due to lunch breaks, meetings, holidays or sickness, therefore helping to ensure the smooth running of the reception area and continuity of standards.
Responsibilities and Duties:
To effectively deal with all incoming calls, enquiries and visitors to the Ulster Cancer Foundation and to direct or refer them to the appropriate department or individual. Also to provide administrative support as required.
Skills/ Qualifications needed:
This role will suit someone who enjoys meeting people and dealing with the public. They will need:-
Good communication and organisational skills.
Excellent telephone manner
Basic computer skills
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Previous experience would be useful but is not essential.
Training Provided:
Full training will be provided with ongoing guidance and support.

This is an important volunteer role as the receptionist represents the face of UCF to visitors arriving at the building. It is an opportunity to gain worthwhile training and work experience.
