Volunteer - Events Assistant

Role: EVENTS ASSISTANT
Dept: Appeals & Marketing
Where: Various locations across N.Ireland
When: Mainly weekends
Commitment: As arranged with Volunteer Co-Ordinator
Duration: Ongoing

Purpose of role:

To assist with the smooth running of fundraising and promotional events such as sponsored walks, bungee jumps, volleyball, salsa dancing, cycle event – listing of upcoming events attached.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assisting in the smooth running of any events, duties could include handing out refreshments, directing participants, distributing information/ equipment etc
Volunteers will be working as part of a team and will be expected to be punctual, to co-operate with others and fulfil tasks according to instruction.

Skills/ Qualifications needed:

This role is suitable for someone who is practical, reliable, outgoing and enjoys working with the public.

Training Provided:

Guidance and instruction will be given.

Reports to:

Volunteer Co-Ordinator/ Senior Development Officer

Other:

This role is a great opportunity to take part in some fun events including salsa dancing, walks, volleyball, fashion shows etc and support UCF at the same time. The right volunteer could also be given the chance to go along on our 3 day Ben Nevis event in Scotland.
