Inspirational Ideas to help grow your Forget Me Not Fund
There are many personal and touching ways in which people have supported the Forget Me Not Fund of a loved one. From sponsored events to auctions, annual get togethers, concerts and car boot sales. Occassions
- Birthday parties
Whether it’s your birthday or wedding anniversary, turn it into a fundraiser. Instead of requesting gifts from your family & friends, ask them to make a donation to the Ulster Cancer Foundation. Use your party to host a sponsored event, such as a head or chest shave. Or add a gift to a loved ones fund on their birthday.
Team effort
- Get a group of work colleagues together and hold a game of football or netball.
- Organise a quiz. Quiz nights are an enjoyable fundraising event that appeals to a wide audience. You can choose to hold yours in a pub, club, a school or a local community centre. Theme your quiz to suit the cause your supporting and in the process teach your guests a little more about the work that we do at UCF.
Outdoor
- Hold a car boot/craft sale

- Organise a garden party
Art & Design
- Raffles are easy to run and organise. They are a simple way of accumulating extra funds within larger fundraising events.
- Hold an art exhibition
- Show your creative side, Make home made goods, like jams or cakes. Or design greeting cards or jewellery and sell them to family members, friends and work colleagues.
Come & Dine
- Hold a BBQ or dinner and ask friends for a small fee to dine with you.
