Kathy & Susan were work colleagues, they helped each other through difficult times when they were both diagnosed with cancer. They set up a generic support group in Newtownards together and had great plans for their local community, but unfortunately Susan sadly lost her battle with cancer.
Kathy set up the Fund to honour her friend and has organised a variety of events to raise money for the Fund. Kathy organises an annual Care Walk, she held a ‘Mama Mia’ night and asked family, friends and people in the support group to get involved in UCF events, such as abseiling down Scrabo Tower.
